Please find below the details for the Wiltshire County Competition at The Link on Saturday 31st Jan (last day of Age Group).
Please ensure that the relevant information is communicated to your members, so they are fully aware of the guidance and restrictions.
FOR CLUBS
Spectators
As the Link Centre has a restriction on the numbers on people allowed in the pool area and our focus is allowing as many opportunities for swimmers to compete as possible.
We are restricting spectating to a maximum of 30 spectators seats which means you will only be able to enter the area just before your child’s race and you will be asked to leave immediately after. There will be a designated area within the Mall for you to wait, we suggest bringing camping chairs to sit on for comfort.
Spectator passes will be available for one parent/carer per swimmer. Passes are £5.00 per day. This is a cash free event (card only)
Job Allocation

As per last years arrangements, these numbers are in alignment with SE rules. All clubs must have at least 1 Level 2 coach included in their poolside staff, the other staff must be Team Manager qualified. All poolside staff must have an up to date DBS and safeguarding certificate.
To authenticate your certification you are required to log onto the SE website and print off your qualification to be displayed at all times whilst on poolside. (instructions via this link on how to print off your certification). There will be no cost involved in doing this. Lanyards and pouches will be supplied to display your certificate on reporting to the meet office. Should you find that you are unable to meet these requirements then please buddy up with one of the larger clubs as this will assist everyone.

All clubs must complete this form – Wilts Champs 2026 – Poolside Passes – to confirm who will be on poolside at which sessions and the qualification they hold. Please return the form to Lisa Osman by Friday 30th January – 10.00am. However, if you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact any of the event team for clarification.
Passes will be checked on the door into the pool, so please ensure that it is on show.
Medals
Medals will be given out to swimmers during each session rather than bagging them up and passing them to coaches to distribute.
Medals will be available up to the end of competition each day and then to the end of warm up the next day. Any medals not collected will be bagged up and passed to the coaches by the end of that session where possible .
Mobile Phones
NO MOBILE PHONES OR DIGITAL DEVICES ARE TO BE TAKEN INTO CHANGING ROOMS AT COUNTY COMPETITIONS. Please ensure as a club that this is passed onto swimmers ahead of the meet.
