Dear All

I have been asked by the Wilts County ASA to look out for funding opportunities for member clubs as we all know how hard it is to find these days. I will endeavour to keep you all notified of grants and funding opportunities as and when they pop up. Undoubtedly you may come across opportunities that I haven’t seen and I and the County would appreciate hearing the details of any such opportunities, in order that they can be shared with the other clubs, this way we can all help each other. To get you started I thought I would let you know about the schemes below.

Schemes that we have been using at Trowbridge for a year or so are detailed below. They do not bring in massive sums each time but if you get members on board (rope in their friends and family too!) pennies soon turn into pounds and they are simple to use .

With Easyfundraising.org we have raised over £300

We are close to over £100 with the ink cartridge recycling.

Bag4sport over £500

So you can see how it mounts up!

Register your club as a cause

Circulate the information to all your members on how it works.

They have to register and log onto the retailer via the easyfundraising website each time they shop.

They select your club as their cause.

Many high street names like Next and even Swim Shop are available.

The customers shop and pay normal price but the club gets  a small commission each time a purchase is made.

Good publicity of the scheme is key to success with this one lots of reminders to use it help.

Collect up bags full of old clothes, household linen, bags, belts and shoes from your club members phone bag4sport to arrange a collection they pay by the Kg so the more you collect the more you will make. They can be slow to pay and need a bit of chasing and you will need someone willing to store items until the collection day.

There are lots of ink cartridge recycling schemes out there but I found this one pays better than the others I could find. Register your club notify your members or your club link. They register check the cartridges they have are on the recycle list print off a freepost label and send them off commission paid once the balance is over £10. And HP 301 cartridge is currently earning £2.50.Kind regards
