This a great opportunity for swimmers to gain further competition experience.

Dave Jones, Club Treasurer is . . . → Read More: Wroughton ASC Olympians]]> Wroughton ASC are really looking forward to the summer & the Olympics & Paralympics in August. Not only are their members booking their place by the TV already but some of them will actually be there to participate in the ‘greatest show on earth’ – but sadly not as competitors.

Dave Jones, Club Treasurer is delighted to have received an invitation from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) to act as a Technical Official at the Paralympics;

Ian Atkinson – one of Wroughton’s longest serving swimmers, has accepted an invitation from LOCOG to take joint responsibility to oversee the provision & maintenance of all the technical equipment needed by all the aquatic disciplines;

Georgina Mason – the club nominated Georgie in a National competition for an Olympic ticket to watch a session of the swimming & was successful ! She’s over the moon to be there in person & is eagerly awaiting to know which session she has been allocated.

Dennis Yeoman – has been working closely with Synchronised Swimming in recent years & was recently awarded the Mary Black Award for services to Synchro’, has been appointment as Field of Play Manager for the competition at the Olympics.
