Warm Up (Attached)

Please ensure you read the updated requirements on the schedule and that you have one member of poolside team at each end of the pool, supervising warm up.

Ahead of the meet please could you work with your athletes to ensure they are confident to either dive off the blocks or start in the water, which they can practice in warm up.

Also please could you remind athletes, they are not allowed to exit the pool over the timing pads to ensure no damage is caused.

FOR PARENTS/CARERS OF COMPETITORS

Spectators

Pricing £8.00 per day, £6.00 per session. This is a cashless event; all payments will be processed via card machine.

Spectator seating is restricted due to the number of swimmers competing on the day. It would be beneficial if parents/guardians could adhere to one spectator per swimmer. In the event of excess spectator numbers then we will be looking to rotate in and out to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to support and watch their children

Thank you in advance for your support with this.

FOR COACHES

Poolside Passes

For some of your swimmers this is the first time at a gala, we appreciate that they will need a bit of extra support, therefore all club are allocated 4 poolside passes.

In alignment with SE rules. All clubs must have at least 1 Level 2 coach included in their poolside staff, the other staff must be Team Manager qualified. All poolside staff must have an up to date DBS and safeguarding certificate.

To authenticate your certification you are required to log onto the SE website and print off your qualification to be displayed at all times whilst on poolside. (instructions attached on how to print off your certification are attached). There will be no cost involved in doing this. Lanyards and pouches will be supplied to display your certificate on reporting to the meet office. Should you find that you are unable to meet these requirements then please buddy up with one of the larger clubs as this will assist everyone.

All clubs must complete the attached sheet to confirm who will be on poolside at which sessions and the qualification they hold. Please return the form to Lisa Osman by Friday 15th May – 10.00am. However, if you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact any of the event team for clarification.

Passes will be checked on the door into the pool, so please ensure that it is on show.

Medals

Medals will be given out to swimmers during each session. Medals not claimed by the end of the last session they will be bagged and passed to coaches at a convenient time.

Mobile Phones

As a reminder per WavePower, there is zero tolerance to swimmers using their mobile phones in the changing rooms.

Your cooperation in all these matters is greatly appreciated and we look forward to working with you to deliver a great Development Gala.
