Wiltshire Policy For Bursaries & Funding
The following document outlines the bursaries and fundings available to help you cover the costs of training volunteers and coaching staff.
Safeguarding & Welfare Courses
A polite reminder; All Safeguarding workshops attended by volunteers and workforce within clubs must be delivered by Swim England, we no longer accept UK Coaching or any other Safeguarding Provider courses. This is due to the Swim England Course being specific to aquatics. The UK Coaching safeguarding courses are valid so long as their renewal date is December 2026 or earlier, any UK coaching courses completed after 31st December 2023 are not valid safeguarding qualifications.
To find Safeguarding courses first look on the Regional website (Click this Link), secondly go to IOS site (Click this Link) or finally enquire through the county by emailing the Education and Development team . It is preferable to use the Region supported course as it is part funded by them capping the fee at £15. Once you have completed your course you can claim this fee back from the county (see the guide document above).
