Wilts ASA Management Committee

The newly formed Wilts ASA Management Committee, in response to the Coronovirus pandemic, met last week via Zoom. The Committee is made up of County President, Officers, Emergency Committee members and representatives of Competition, Coaching and Education.
You will have seen reported in the news over the weekend that talks will be commencing next week for major sports with discussions on how to manage sport as and when lockdown is relaxed.

Swim England is supporting clubs through emails to club Secretary’s and the region has invited club chairs to dial into meetings to share information. County are now discussing competition and how the lockdown is likely to affect competition from now until after Counties in 2021. A further review of lockdown is being taken by the Government on 7th May and there will be a meeting of the management committee that evening . Following this , we would hope to make some decisions on Competitions scheduled from the present until September and inform you accordingly.

There are many courses on line that are now free of charge and it is recommended that clubs encourage their members to do these as they help with swimmark accreditation etc.

We hope that you are all staying safe and well in these difficult times and hope to have some information on competition after the next meeting

Hon Sec(On behalf of the Wilts ASA Management Committee).
