To clarify the statement we circulated previously regarding open water swimming:<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/strong>\u2018In addition to the above, we understand all clubs have received an email from jason@southwestswim.co.uk<\/a>  www.southwestswim.co.uk<\/a> \u2013 Jason Tait is the name of the person concerned and this is nothing at all to do with Swim England South West Region<\/em><\/strong>.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/strong>We did not intend to cast any doubt on Mr Tait, his qualifications or his company.  We only wished to make it clear that the approaches Mr Tait had made to certain local clubs were from him personally on behalf of his company and had no link with the South West Region even though we have similar names.  Mr Tait is running a private company with its own business plan, coaches, and commercial level insurance.  It is also noted that Mr Tait is fully experienced and qualified as an open water coach with both Swim England and the STA (Swim teachers association), and sessions are risk assessed on guidance from both awarding bodies and insurance<\/strong><\/p>\n
