You must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the course.

Learners must have passed an National Pool Plant Operators certificate or attended a Pool Plant Operator Revalidation course, no more than 3 years ago.

Provided you passed your National Pool Plant Operator certificate or attended a Pool Plant Operator Revalidation course (RoPPP), no more than 3 years ago, you will automatically have been placed on the CIMSPA’s RoPPP Register. By doing so you will be recognised by employers and the industry for keeping your technical knowledge of pool plant and water treatment up to date.

The aim of this ONE day course is to provide qualified National Pool Plant Operator learners with the necessary technical updates on pool plant, water treatment and health and safety practices, to bring their knowledge back up to date.

  • Use of UV
  • Health and safety update
  • Latest advances in technology and equipment
  • Bacteriological testing – what do the results mean?
  • Linking pool water treatment with source water
  • Energy management update
  • Differences in operation of spa, swimming, hydrotherapy pools

It is strongly recommended personal email addresses are used when registering as an individual with the IoS to assist with awarding.

There is a Knowledge Review assessment with the Update Seminar. Full participation and engagement is encouraged throughout the day.
